CAM035G — Brass Blade, 1″ x 12″, Chisel Tip
The CCSi CAM035G is a brass mold blade with a 0.25″ thick × 1″ wide shank and chisel tip, on a 12″ tool with a plastic handle. Unlike the round-shank picks in the CAM035 line, this flat chisel profile is built for scraping wide, flat surfaces — mold parting lines, flash lines, and buildup across broader areas rather than into narrow crevices.
Specimen molds, cutting dies, and formers represent a significant investment in a rubber or plastics lab. Using steel tools for routine tasks — prying molds open, clearing stubborn debris — wears or damages that equipment over time. Brass is soft enough to protect the mold surface while still doing the job.
Best suited for: scraping flat mold faces and wide flash/parting lines where a round pick would take too many passes.
